Diploma, High School of Music and Art, 1984; B.A., 1994, Columbia University, New York City (Hauptfach: englische Literatur); M.A., 2000, Cornell University (Hauptfächer: Mediävistik, vergleichende Sprachwissenschaft).

Promotion in Philosophie 2015, Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. Doktorarbeit: Description of a Struggle. Betreuer: Prof. Dr. Dag Nikolaus Hasse, Prof. Dr. Jörn Müller.

Er beschäftigt sich mit mittelalterlicher und moderner Philosophie der Sprache und der Logik.

Seit 2007 ist er als Lehrkraft für formale Logik, seit 2013 als Dozent für Philosophie und Logik in Würzburg beschäftigt.
